Some restorations start with a solid bike that maybe is a bit cosmetically challenged, or in need of some minor maintenance.

Some start with bike that looks fine but is in need of a major overhaul, like engine out for work, front end and swingarm removed, electrical system sorted type of work.

Some restorations start with a bike that has been put down, run over by a car for good measure then left to its own devices in the elements to boot.

This months Bike of the Month is the latter, rather than the former two.

The goal was obviously to get a sound rideable bike out of a pile of broken, bent and weathered parts rather than a magazine cover motorcycle.

Congratulations Rayman, your 1983 VF750F is March 2026's Bike of the Month.

Of course some of you who have been on the Board for a while will recognize that Rayman is the member who came up with alternative spark boxes for our first Gens. Nice Work!
