Bike of the Month / Dec. 2025 Bike of the Month
Last post by FromMaine - December 01, 2025, 03:05:49 PMAnd just like that, its December. It snowed all the way back on Nov. 11th and Sunday River ski resort opened on that day. My last ride on the bike was Oct 14th, and to be honest, it wasn't great. So time to get some projects going, order some parts, crank up the heaters, and think about Spring.
While looking through the Photo Gallery and wishing I could fast forward the Calendar, I spotted this months winner. It struck me as the bike you would probably would love to throw a leg over for the first ride of the year. The livery is iconic 80's Honda, the 1000cc V4 motor has more than enough grunt to put an instant smile on your face, even better with a set of F1's or similar, and the quirky 17"/16" tire combo providing a definite conversation starter. Yes, a great bike to start the riding season with. The US only got it in 84, the Europeans go an F2 version up until the 90's.

I still smile when I see a V65 Sabre in this livery, it was a dream bike for me for years and I finally got one about 17 years ago. It was way to tall and heavy for for my 5'7", but I somehow managed to one foot it for 26,000+ miles, and take my daughter cross country on it. Still in my garage, but likely never ridden by me again. Oh well.
Enough Nostalgia.
