Title: Jan 2026 Bike of the month
Post by: FromMaine on January 01, 2026, 06:08:44 PM
Well, Happy New year everyone. Its somehow 2026 already!

It started snowing up here 2 weeks before Thanksgiving, and has been pretty relentless since then. The plow trucks are rumbling by the house again for about the 4th time today as I type this, so its time to talk about bikes to boost moral around here :)

This months winner is a tidy example of what Honda did so well in the 80's in my opinion. A mid range bike with some punch to it. You could buy a 500, 700/750, or 1100 Magna back then which covered most peoples riding styles and needs, and they all had similar design cues and price points.

I've never owned a Magna, but if I did, I think it would look like this one. I know they came with 2 piece seats, but not sure that one shown isn't an aftermarket, maybe someone could chime in on that.

Congratulations isaac1909, your 1986 Magna VF700C is Jan. 2026's BOTM.

I know from your post you sold it on for a Kawasaki, but thanks for sharing it with us when you owned it and repaired it.

Congratulations! A beautiful bike, and very deserving of being bike of the month.

Good point Mike, I missed that detail of the pegs. Think that's a KG engine guard.
I like the drag bar setup with rectangular headlight and the dual horns, looks Easy Riderish. I know I'm not that guy. But I could be for an hour or two at the local doughnut shop bike night on that. :)
