I've always felt the big Sabre was a great touring bike. Its heft and height which made it a handful at low or zero speeds, quickly become assets when on long touring trips. I have 26K touring miles on my 85, and loved them all, tons of grunt to pass at will and the 18" front tracking true endlessly.
This months winner also gets a nod as the bike sat outside for 6 years before he bought it. Well done.
Sure its and old post, but I still respect the effort.
Congratulations ottosabre, your 84 V65 Sabre is Jan. 2024's BOTM.

Great choice! Congratulations to the owner.
Very nice job bringing it back to glory.
I still keep a look out to let a Sabre like that into my stable.
I really like the fairing being the same color as the rest of the bike. Great choice.
Magoo
Sweet bike! I dig the Blackened look! Great pick!!
That looks sharp nice bike
Congrats... cool Sabre. I've never ridden a Sabre... one day...
The fairing, is that factory?
Malm, yes it's factory. We installed one on Michael's big saber at one of Magoo's infamous BBQ gatherings many long times ago. You could also get matching factory hard bags as well. As far as riding one, they had the ability to scare the bejeezus out of you with very little effort. 😱 Crazy fast and powerful. Nice example and congratulations 👏 ottosabre.
